Terms of purchase
Terms & Conditions
These terms apply to purchases made via the MarineParts webshop. By placing an order, the customer accepts the terms below.
1. Definitions and applicability
“Customer” means an individual, company or organization making a purchase via the MarineParts webshop, e-mail, or another MarineParts-approved sales channel. “MarineParts” refers to the seller operating the webshop and customer service. “Webshop” refers to MarineParts’ digital commerce platform. These terms apply to all purchases unless otherwise agreed in writing.
2. General
By completing an order, the Customer accepts these terms. A binding agreement is formed when MarineParts sends an order confirmation to the e-mail address provided at checkout. For B2B sales, applicable commercial rules apply and no right of withdrawal is offered.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in the selected currency and include VAT unless explicitly stated otherwise. Any shipping, delivery, or handling fees are presented at checkout before the purchase is completed. MarineParts reserves the right to correct obvious pricing errors, incorrect information, sell-outs and stock discrepancies. The goods remain the property of MarineParts until paid in full.
4. Delivery
Delivery time is shown on the product page or at checkout and may vary depending on the product, stock status, shipping method and destination. Stated delivery times are estimates. MarineParts is not liable for delays caused by the carrier, supplier, or circumstances beyond MarineParts’ control. For split shipments, delivery time applies separately to each item.
5. Right of withdrawal and returns
Consumers have a 14-day right of withdrawal in accordance with applicable distance-selling rules. If an order is delivered in multiple parcels, the withdrawal period is calculated separately from the day each item is received. After the withdrawal period has expired, returns are no longer accepted.
The right of withdrawal does not apply to products where sealed packaging has been opened, or where the item can no longer be sold as new due to the Customer’s handling. Return instructions are available in our FAQ.
6. Condition of returned items
For a full refund, the item must be returned in new condition and in its original packaging. MarineParts may refuse a return if the withdrawal period has expired or if a statutory exception applies. A deduction for diminished value may be made if the item has been handled beyond what is necessary to establish its characteristics or function.
7. Return costs and fees
For a cancelled purchase (withdrawal), a handling fee of 15€ / 150 SEK (incl. VAT) is charged per return, covering actual costs for return handling, quality control and administration. Any shipping cost paid at checkout may be deducted from the refund. In the event of a complaint or defective item, MarineParts covers the return cost. The return must always be registered before the item is sent back.
8. Refunds
Refunds are issued to the same payment method used for the purchase once the return has been received and inspected. MarineParts aims to process refunds within 14 days, but processing times may be longer during peak season or due to other circumstances.
9. Complaints and warranty
Consumer complaint rights apply in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws, provided the product has been handled with normal care. Unless otherwise stated, the warranty period is 1 year.
Complaint and warranty cases are handled in writing. The Customer must provide clear photos showing the defect. MarineParts aims to respond within 5 business days.
10. Invoice and due date
The invoice due date is not adjusted during an ongoing return or complaint case. The invoice must be paid by the stated due date. Any credit note may be used for future payments.
11. Limitation of liability
The Customer is responsible for verifying compatibility before installation. MarineParts is not liable for damage or costs arising from incorrect installation or use. MarineParts’ liability is limited to direct losses and to the purchase price of the item, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
12. Customer data and privacy
MarineParts processes personal data in accordance with GDPR to administer orders, payments, deliveries and customer service. More information is available in our privacy policy.
13. Changes to these terms
MarineParts reserves the right to amend these terms. For each individual purchase, the terms published at the time of ordering apply.
14. Governing law and dispute resolution
Mandatory consumer protection rules apply. Consumers may contact the relevant dispute resolution body.
15. Force majeure
MarineParts is not liable for failure to perform due to circumstances beyond its control, such as natural disasters, strikes, pandemics, transport disruptions or government decisions. If force majeure continues for more than two months, either party may terminate the agreement.
