Lower Unit Lock Bolt - With this Lock Bolt you prevent theft of your Outboard Lower Unit
The Lock Bolt replaces the bolt above the propeller, which lays behind either an anode or a cover plate. The Lock Bolt can only be opened with the right key. The mounting behind the anode/cover prevents thieves from opening the the bolt with some other tool other than the key tool which is included.
The key tool for opening the Lock Bolt is order-specific. A tool serial number is included.
Includes: Lock Bolt, Key Tool, Warning Sign, Key Tool Serial, Installation Instructions.
Installation:
1. Remove the fin or cover plate above the propeller.
2. Remove the lower unit’s bolt.
3. Fasten the Lock Bolt, use marine grease and tighten.
4. Fasten the fin/cover plate.
5. Keep the key tool and key tool serial number in a safe place!
