VCS Concentrated Coolant/Antifreeze, Yellow, 1l
A new form of yellow, ethylene glycol-based glycol has been introduced for later models of diesel engines, featuring unique additives distinct from the traditional green variant.
Volvo Penta is progressively introducing an upgraded coolant version, named Volvo Penta Coolant VCS (yellow). This product incorporates advanced inhibitors, optimized for the materials used in more modern engine versions, ensuring superior protection against corrosion, minimizing deposit accumulation, and aiding in the prevention of cavitation and electrochemical corrosion.
The transition to VCS (yellow) has been carried out according to the following schedule:
• D13 marine during the transition from the 2010 to 2011 model year (D13 EVC-D),
• D16 marine during week 27 of 2010,
• D1, D2, D3 during week 19 of 2011,
• D4/D6 during week 22 of 2011.
It is crucial not to mix VCS (yellow) with Volvo Penta Coolant (green) or any other type of coolant. Engines filled with VCS (yellow) will be marked with yellow decals, including a yellow decal around the filler cap as an external identifier.
The recommended mixing ratios are as follows:
• 40% concentrate: protection down to -25°C
• 50% concentrate: protection down to -35°C
• 60% concentrate: protection down to -46°C
